Some stories begin with a portrait.
Blanca’s began on a dark, rainy night.
She was found alone in the rain before being rescued by SAYv Animal Organization, a Chicago-area foster-based rescue dedicated to saving homeless animals and helping them find loving families.
Before Blanca stepped into my Chicago pet and family portrait studio, she was found alone in the rain and rescued by the incredible volunteers at SAYv Animal Organization. The short film above documents the beginning of her journey—not because it defines her, but because it reminds us how life can change when someone chooses to stop and help.
Then everything changed.
Inside the studio, Blanca wasn’t photographed as a rescue dog. She was photographed as herself—a curious, resilient, beautiful soul with an entire future still waiting for her.
Creating stories like Blanca’s is exactly why I founded THE SEE HEAR LOVE PROJECT—combining documentary filmmaking, fine art portraiture, and animal communication to help rescue animals connect with the people who are meant to love them.
Today, Blanca is still waiting for her forever family.
If you’re looking to adopt, foster, volunteer, or donate, please visit SAYv Animal Organization and learn more about the incredible work they do every day. Every adoption changes two lives—the animal’s and the person’s.
Maybe Blanca is waiting for yours.
Every rescue animal has a story worth telling. Blanca’s is just the beginning.
