Logan Square Engagement Session: Anna & Cody

I love asking clients what is most important to them, where are their favorite hangouts, and what do they love to do together?  This way, our Chicago engagement sessions are focused around what matters most to them.  We don’t tour Chicago and smile for the camera at the most popular spots… we get to…

  • […] Q. How/why did you choose your venue? A. It was a unique and intimate space and suited our guest count. And their flowers are amazing. Q. Why did you choose Candice to photograph your wedding? A. She has a beautiful portfolio of work with rich imagery and a focus on candid moments and storytelling. Q. What were some of your favorite moments on the wedding day? A. I loved having a quiet moment with each other the morning of the wedding, before the chaos set in. We sat on the deck of our hotel room, drinking coffee and fine-tuning our vows. Q. Which detail(s) did you like best about your wedding? This could be an element of decor, something unique about the venue, something you hand crafted, etc. A. I loved how fun and colorful the whole event was. We didn’t need too much decor because the space itself was so beautiful, but the flowers were incredible and added the color and whimsy we love. Q. Any other wedding vendors you recommend? A. Our caterer was amazing. They not only provided food, but basically acted as our wedding planner. All of our vendors made the process painless and the event magical. Q. Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding day? Any tips for couples currently planning their wedding? A. We loved how much the whole wedding just felt natural and felt very “us” and I think our guests could sense that too. I think it’s important to stick to what feels right for the couple. Q. What’s next on your calendar as a couple? You can tell us about your honeymoon, big moves, plans for family, new jobs, or anything else you’d like to share! A. We’re excited to settle back into our regular life after all the excitement. We took a honeymoon to Sonoma and Big Sur and it was so nice to have a couple of weeks of relaxation and just enjoying each other’s company. Thanks so much, Anna and Cody!  To see their Chicago engagement session, please click here. […]ReplyCancel

Griffith Observatory Engagement Photography: Amanda & Brandon

I was so excited for Amanda and Brandon’s Los Angeles Griffith Observatory engagement photography session, I watched La La Land on the plane to California!  This was my first time visiting Los Angeles, and I’m happy to have to have had the opportunity to photograph engagement sessions for two sets of clients (including David and…

I love the LA cityscape in the background. It must have really worked in your favor to do the engagement photos in the morning, I’m sure in the evening the Observatory is crowded with people.ReplyCancel

I think the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles is the coolest location for an engagement photo session. This couple looks like they are a lot of fun and the architecture suits them.ReplyCancel

    Hi Candice,
I love your pictures that Amanda and Brenden. I am a cousin of Amanda’s and would love to put together a collage of photos for them on a pillow as a keepsake for their wedding. I was wondering if I could purchase some photos from you in order to do that.
    Thank you,

Los Angeles Wedding Photography: David and Brian

I so loved visiting Los Angeles to meet with my clients David (green shirt) and Brian for their pre-wedding photography.  We focused their engagement photography in places near their home, including our first stop at the lovely Micheltorena Stairs.  This Chicagoan is still surprised to see massive hills, so a beautifully painted staircase that goes up…
