I recently won 3 awards from my year-end wedding photojournalism coverage with the Wedding Photojournalist Association! This incredible organization of visual storytellers are committed to true moments, and I’m so honored to be a part of this group. I use my photojournalism background to document the amazing moments that tell an accurate story and believe the best images are moment-driven! I love how each of my clients allows me into their lives so what we capture together is real, not posed.
I’m also happy to post some photos from 2018. What a year! 2018 included some trips to Bali, Indonesia to speak about wedding photojournalism at the Fearless Photographers Conference and also traveled to Spain to teach at the Foundation Workshop: Europe and to Texas to teach at the Foundation Workshop.
I also moved into a studio and started photographing pets and families! It’s so amazing to have a beautiful indoor location for portraits (especially since I live in Chicago) and I cannot wait to see this side of our business grow! We still love weddings and had some fantastic ones this year! We had some terrific venues too! Thanks so much to the fine folks at The Ivy Room, The Intercontinental Hotel, Lowes Chicago, Moonlight Studios, Morgan Manufacturing, Ravenswood Event Center, The School of the Art Institute and The Palmer House!
I’m so truly thankful to teach what I love and do what I love every day… not one day goes by where I don’t express my gratitude and I can’t wait to see what happens to 2019!
