What Happens During an Animal Communication Session? (A Real Chicago Experience)

What Happens During an Animal Communication Session?

If you’ve ever wondered what your animal is truly feeling — or why their behavior suddenly changed — you’re not alone.

As an award-winning Chicago pet and family photographer, I’ve spent decades observing animals through my lens. Over time, that deep connection evolved into something more intuitive: animal communication.

Today, I offer private animal communication sessions in Chicago and via Zoom for clients around the world.

But what actually happens during a session?

Let me walk you through it.

Step 1: Setting the Intention

Before we begin, I ask for a recent photo of your animal and a few sentences about what’s going on.

This isn’t about diagnosing or predicting — it’s about understanding.

Are they anxious?
Adjusting to a move?
Grieving a companion?
Facing end-of-life decisions?

Clarity begins with intention.

Step 2: The Connection

During the session, I connect intuitively with your animal’s emotional and energetic state.

Clients often describe the experience as surprisingly grounded.

We explore:

• Emotional patterns
• Behavioral changes
• Life transitions
• Unspoken needs
• Relationship dynamics within the home

The goal is not mystical spectacle.

The goal is insight.

And often, relief.

Step 3: Translation & Guidance

Your animal communicates through impressions, emotions, and symbolic imagery.

I translate what comes forward and we discuss what it means in practical, real-world terms.

Most sessions include:

• Emotional clarity
• Behavioral understanding
• Concrete adjustments you can make
• A deeper sense of connection

Many clients report noticeable shifts within days — sometimes within hours — simply from being seen and understood.

A Real Session Example

Below is a short excerpt from one of my filmed sessions through The See Hear Love Project.

What you’ll notice isn’t drama.

It’s recognition.

That moment when a foster parent hears something they’ve always sensed but couldn’t articulate.

That’s the work.

Who Is This For?

Animal communication may be right for you if:

• Your animal’s behavior has changed unexpectedly
• You’re navigating illness or aging
• You’ve welcomed a new pet into your home
• You’re feeling disconnected and don’t know why
• You simply want to deepen your bond

This work is not about replacing veterinary care or training.

It’s about emotional understanding.

And sometimes, that changes everything.

For clients navigating behavioral concerns, I often work alongside trusted Chicago dog trainers.

Private Sessions by Consultation

I offer private 60-minute animal communication sessions in my West Town Chicago studio or via Zoom.

Because this work is deeply personal, sessions are booked by consultation only.

    Meet Tootsie 💛
⠀
Surrendered by her owner, Tootsie arrived at Hinsdale Humane Society with little to no information about her past. That’s where we stepped in.
⠀
Nicole, Administrative Manager at Hinsdale Humane Society, brought Tootsie to us and is part of this moment you’re seeing—helping us begin to understand who Tootsie really is.
⠀
The See Hear Love Project is the only project that combines animal communication and professional photography—helping uncover each dog’s story and showing who they truly are.
⠀
Now it’s Tootsie’s turn to be seen for exactly who she is 💫

Avalanche didn’t start life this way.
⠀
Rescued from a hoarding situation through @reddoorshelter, his world was once crowded, uncertain, and far from safe.

But something beautiful happened—
his foster saw him… and never let him go.

Avalanche is now home.

    Meet Blanca.
Rescued, but still learning how to feel safe again.
During her animal communication session, Blanca shared a feeling of being abandoned in the rain—until Michelle, her foster mom, found her and brought her to safety.
“I’m scared… but I’m trying.”
She’s waiting for someone to show her she’s finally home.
Blanca and other incredible animals are available for adoption at SAYv Animal Organization (@sayvanimalorg).

This is Part 2 of Ramona’s story from The See Hear Love Project™ — a Chicago-based initiative combining animal communication and fine-art photography to help foster animals be seen, heard, and adopted.
Each session begins with an on-camera communication reading followed by a professional portrait session, allowing foster animals to connect with potential adopters through emotion and storytelling.
Ramona’s message is part of a larger mission to bring visibility to animals waiting for homes and to highlight the life-saving power of fostering.
