Wedding Photographer Workshop: Fearless Conference 2015

Chicago wedding photojournalism by Candice CusicI found this gem of lil’ me holding a toy camera today, and in true photographer fashion, I gotta blog it.  🙂

I’ve been a photographer since age six, where I was so captivated by my father’s camera I refused to enjoy the family outing my family had planned for me, I only wanted to take photographs.  Pretty soon I became the official family photographer at a young age and still am today…I have no tangible proof that I even attended most of our vacations, as I’m the one behind the camera.

I’ve been a photo geek most of my life, and I don’t see that as a negative thing.  🙂

One of the greatest things about my job is the opportunity to surround myself with others who have the same passion.  I am so fortunate to do this every year at the Fearless Conference, with others who want to make their photographs and their business even stronger.  At the end of the conference, I always leave with fresh ideas, inspiration and new friends.

I’m so excited to be a featured speaker at this year’s conference, and it’s not too late to join us!

Some dogs don’t just fit into a family — they become part of its heartbeat.
⠀
Eddie was pure joy to photograph with his two favorite people. The connection between them was effortless, loving, and completely real.

These are the moments worth remembering.
    Meet Zeno.

After being surrendered by his owner, Zeno has spent more than a year waiting at Red Door Animal Shelter for someone to choose him.

And somehow, after all this time, he’s still soft. Still trusting. Still hopeful.

Cats like Zeno don’t need perfection. They just need someone willing to see them.

Seen. Heard. Loved.
