Show Your Pup Love this Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we wanted to share three fun ways to celebrate with your pup!

1. Spend Time With Them

Spend some extra time with them by going on a long walk, cuddling, or even reading. Dogs are very social animals and enjoy interacting with you, so taking a new route for their walk or staying in for a movie night filled with cuddles will not only make them feel loved but create a stronger bond. Dogs love to hear from you and talking is a great way to engage with your pup in the laid-back parts of the day. Reading to your pup has actually been found to help reduce anxiety!

2. Loving Gazes

Dogs’ eyes are really expressive and a key way for them to communicate. When a dog gives you lingering eye contact, it’s their way of saying ‘I love you.’ You can actually communicate back to them this same way too! They’re sensitive animals and are in tune with emotions and especially facial expressions. So next time you share a kind gaze with your pup, try a relaxed smile to show how happy you are to see them!

3. Treat Them!!

Your pup deserves a treat! Whether it’s giving them their favorite meal, exploring a new place, getting a new toy, or a treat, your pup will love it! Come capture you and your pup’s unconditional love for each other with Candice C. Cusic Photography!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all the dog moms and dads!

    Meet Zeno.

After being surrendered by his owner, Zeno has spent more than a year waiting at Red Door Animal Shelter for someone to choose him.

And somehow, after all this time, he’s still soft. Still trusting. Still hopeful.

Cats like Zeno don’t need perfection. They just need someone willing to see them.

Seen. Heard. Loved.

    Meet Tootsie 💛
⠀
Surrendered by her owner, Tootsie arrived at Hinsdale Humane Society with little to no information about her past. That’s where we stepped in.
⠀
Nicole, Administrative Manager at Hinsdale Humane Society, brought Tootsie to us and is part of this moment you’re seeing—helping us begin to understand who Tootsie really is.
⠀
The See Hear Love Project is the only project that combines animal communication and professional photography—helping uncover each dog’s story and showing who they truly are.
⠀
Now it’s Tootsie’s turn to be seen for exactly who she is 💫
